What materials will Plexus adhesive not bond?
Plexus adhesives will not bond the usual materials that are designed to resist adhesive bonding such as Teflon, polyethylene, polypropylene, and Delrin. In addition, Plexus adhesives are not designed for bonding rubber materials.
Are there any materials that deserve special consideration prior to bonding with Plexus adhesives?
Yes. Nearly anything to be bonded with Plexus adhesives ought to be carefully evaluated beforehand. Though Plexus has been successfully used many times for bonding nylon, polystyrene, polycarbonate, and ABS, care must be taken in correct Plexus product selection because these plastics are prone to crazing and stress-cracking.
